Spanish Translation. using the correct conjugates, irregular verbs and preterite tense.?

Posted on January 31st, 2011 by admin

3.Write a paragraph (about thirty words) using both regular and irregular verbs in the preterite tense (for example, talk about what you and/or a friend did yesterday). Include at least three prepositions.

I am trying to say in spanish:
I went to school and completed an engineering project which was very difficult. I brought food for a short break, then went to economics. I made my way home.

Fui a la escuela y completar un proyecto de ingeniería que fue muy difícil. Fui trajiste comida para un pequeño descanso. Luego fue a la economía. Hice mi camino a casa.

Is this right? or what can I do to improve it and follow what the teacher wants? thank you.
10 points to the best info.

Right now, your paragraph says:

I went to school and to complete an engineering project that was very difficult. I went you brought food for a small break. Then I went to the economy. I made my walk home.

Okay, so it’s pretty close! Just a few things…
Fui a la escuela y *completé un proyecto de ingeniería que fue muy difícil. *Traje comida para un pequeño descanso. Luego, fui a *la clase de *económica. Hice mi camino a *mi casa.

I’m not sure if "pequeño descanso" should be "descanso pequeño." I know that usually adjectives come first, but there’s some special circumstance when dealing with quantifying adjectives. Hurm.

Cel phone rental and coverage (Camino de Santiago)?

Posted on January 29th, 2011 by admin

Hello!
Some friends and I are planning to walk sections of the Camino de Santiago in March 2011, arriving and departing Spain at the Madrid airport.

We want to use 2 cel phones to help the group stay together, and rent a small van to help shuttle the group from section to section.

I’d like to know if cel phone coverage is available along most of the Camino de Santiago …. no sense in bringing them if they won’t work!

I’m looking for advice from people with experience in either area (phone rental/purchase and van rental).

Thanks in advance,
Tony in Saskatoon, Canada

Ask your cell phone provider if your phone will work in Spain. Remember they use 220 volts in Spain, not 110 volts.

I would advise buying the cheapest pay phones when you get there.

The best coverage is Moviestar but you pay a premium.

Locally, the most popular provider (queuesin shop) is Vodafone.

How much money in rebuilding an El Camino?

Posted on January 14th, 2011 by admin

I’m looking to buy my fist car. I love 78- 82 El Camino’s. I was wondering how much it would coast to rebuild most of the parts ( transition, engine, carburetors, ect.) My dad has the lifts and stuff to do it I just need to know how much money is needed.

you can tie up about $6,000 just in rebuilding the drive train, that’s not including any body work or anything else on the vehicle.

I need a translation of Julio Iglesias’ Song – Ni te tengo, ni te olvido. Any idea is helpfull.?

Julio Iglesias’ Songs

Ni te tengo, ni te olvido

Yo no sé que hacer contigo
Ni te tengo ni te olvido
Ni quiero seguir así
Juguete de tus caprichos.

Para que quererte tanto
Para que tanto deseo
Para que este loco amor
Que lo quiero y no lo quiero.

Y es que ya me acostumbré
A tu forma de entregarte
Al calor que hay en tu piel
Y al placer de acariciarte

Cuando te sientes mujer
No hay cariño para darte
Cuando te sientes mujer,
Que daría por tener
Tus caricias cada día
Y poderte complacer
Cada vez que fueras mía
Que daría por saber
Que jamás te perdería.

No acierto a ver el camino
Que me separe de ti
No puedo seguir contigo
Ni puedo vivir sin ti.

Que daría por tener
Tus caricias cada día
Y poderte complacer
Cada vez que fueras mía
Que daría por saber
Que jamás te perdería.

No acierto a ver el camino
Que me separe de ti
No puedo seguir contigo
Ni puedo vivir sin ti.

Ni te tengo, ni te olvido= I don’t have you, nor do I forget you

Yo no sé que hacer contigo= I don’t know what to do about you
Ni te tengo ni te olvido= I don’t have you, nor do I forget you
Ni quiero seguir así= nor do I want to continue like this
Juguete de tus caprichos.= a plaything to your whims

Para que quererte tanto= why should I want/love you so much
Para que tanto deseo= why so much desire
Para que este loco amor= why, this crazy love
Que lo quiero y no lo quiero.= that I want and don’t want

Y es que ya me acostumbré= it’s just that I got used to
A tu forma de entregarte= the way you give yourself
Al calor que hay en tu piel= the warmth of your skin
Y al placer de acariciarte= and the pleasure of caressing you

Cuando te sientes mujer= when you feel like a woman
No hay cariño para darte= there is no tenderness to give you
Cuando te sientes mujer,= when you feel like a woman
Que daría por tener= what I would give, to have
Tus caricias cada día= your caresses every day
Y poderte complacer= and to be able to please you
Cada vez que fueras mía= each time you were mine
Que daría por saber= what I would give, to know
Que jamás te perdería.= that I would never lose you

No acierto a ver el camino= I can’t seem to find the way
Que me separe de ti= that will take me away from you
No puedo seguir contigo= I can’t go on with you
Ni puedo vivir sin ti.= I can’t live without you

Que daría por tener= what I would give, to have
Tus caricias cada día= your caresses every day
Y poderte complacer= and to be able to please you
Cada vez que fueras mía= each time you were mine
Que daría por saber= what I would give, to know
Que jamás te perdería.= that I would never lose you

No acierto a ver el camino= I can’t seem to find the way
Que me separe de ti= that will take me away from you
No puedo seguir contigo= I can’t go on with you
Ni puedo vivir sin ti= I can’t live without you
