I need help with a spanish translation?

Posted on December 23rd, 2010 by admin

Sigue andando el camino por toda su vida Respira
and….
Y si pierdes mis huellas que dios te bendiga

do you know what these mean?????

THANKS!!!!!!!!

Hello, this is a song.
Respira is Breathe.

Sigue andando…
"Keep walking down the path for the rest of your life"

"y si pierdes…"
And if you lose sight of my tracks, I hope God blesses you (literally, but it means, "good luck, then").

Hope this helps.

How do I buy a round-trip ticket with a different return destination?

Posted on December 13th, 2010 by admin

I’m walking the Camino de Frances (in Spain) in May and June. I’m leaving from Oregon but I want to return to Wisconsin. Is there any way of doing this without buying two separate one-way tickets?

Yes. You need what’s called an "Open Jaw" ticket. On-line booking usually doesn’t allow this but your travel agent can do it for you.

Is anyone having scrolling issues on Firefox in OSX?

Posted on December 5th, 2010 by admin

I have a MacBook in Leopard 10.5.6, running Firefox 3.0.6, and my scrolling varies from extra fast (like continuing to scroll long past when I stop) to super slow and sluggish. I’ve tried updating and adjusting preferences and have no add ons besides Ad Blocker and I can’t figure out why this is happening no matter what forum I go on. Is anyone else having this problem? It’s gotten so that Firefox is completely unusable for me and I’ve had to switch to Camino, when I much prefer the utilities on Firefox.
It’s not my track pad settings, as scrolling is fine in Camino and Opera. I’ve reset everything in Firefox proper, updated it, and deleted and reinstalled it and nothing is different. I was able to export my bookmarks though so using another browser isn’t a big deal.
I’ve been using Firefox on this computer since I got it last summer (and for years in general on other Macs). I think maybe the problems started when I updated to Firefox 3 this fall (?). I’ve been through several updates on both Leopard and Firefox since then and nothing has changed. I’ve checked each time.
Ok, I adjusted the scrolling speed and it seems to be working ok for now. Do I need to change the configuration back to true now or should I leave it?

Thanks so much for the help. I hope this does the trick–sometimes Firefox has been working ok but mostly it’s been screwed up for me.

Did you just recently install Firefox? Or, did you have Firefox before? The reason I ask is because I would try to figure out when the problem began so I can see if I made any changes that could be causing the issue. I have a MacBook running 10.5.6 & Firefox … and the scrolling is fine. I use Safari, though.

Try this:

1. Open up Firefox and type about:config in the URL box.

2. Find the line mousewheel.withnokey.sysnumlines, set it to false by double clicking on true.

3. Find the line mousewheel.withnokey.numlines, set it to the number of lines you want to scroll at a time. This controls the scrolling speed. Fool around with the numbers to see if you can get a decent scroll speed.

Leave the changes as they are & just adjust if you feel the need to.

is there any way i can add a class after the add deadline for el camino college?

Posted on December 3rd, 2010 by admin

I had faculty permission to add but i tried adding and the system seemed like it was down. I was out of town for family emergency and did not make it back to go into the admissions office. Now I am late for the add and planning on going monday to talk to admissions. But will the college allow me to add after the deadline? I am really stressed cause I need this class to finish my other two classes next semester and I already gave my full time job my 2 week notice!!! Please help

The only ones who can really help is your own college by allowing you to take a class after the deadline.

A somewhat poor backup plan is to see if your school will allow you to take the needed class at another school./

Is there anyway to make it so that i don’t have to type ".com" at the end of every URl in Camino 2.0.3?

Posted on December 1st, 2010 by admin

1) im running Leopard v. 10.5.8
2) keyboard shortcut would be nice but if there’s setting so that all i have to do is just type facebook, hit enter, and it automatically adds the ".com"

Thanks for any help

The common browser shortcut for .com is Ctrl + Enter. In Firefox, you can use Shift+Enter to enter an .net address, or CTRL+Shift+Enter to add a .org address.

As usual, IE sucks at times: Internet Explorer offers CTRL+Shift+Enter which puts in the first part, but you have to enter the .org, .net, .biz, or whatever ending. Don’t use IE so maybe IE 8 is better with these shortcuts.
